This article approached the transnational family in a holistic manner. Not only remittances are analyzed, but also the dynamics and changes that their members face as a consequence of the migratory phenomenon. For this purpose, a documentary review was carried out in various databases of empirical research conducted with migrant families belonging to Ibero-American countries, mainly in the last decade. The findings suggest that new information and communication technologies have led to the emergence of new family dynamics and the strengthening of filial ties; in addition, labor and cultural inequalities between men and women are evident in migratory contexts. This study contributes to the recognition that the voice of children is necessary to understand the migratory processes based on their experiences and meanings constructed within the transnational context, and for this, the school scenario is transcendental.
